We don't mind admitting that we started out life in a back bedroom.
That was in 1996. We're still a small business but that's intentional.
With growth may come a higher profile, but for us it meant a loss of
the personal attention that was the backbone of our success.
For founder Amy Claridge, marketing and in particular public relations
is a passion when delivered with the honest, practical and realistic
approach for which she is known. The first nine years of business were
spent in Bury St Edmunds, and we still have clients there, throughout
East Anglia and nationally. Overseas clients are welcome, and may find
Precursor a useful English press or marketing office as we offer first
hand knowledge of the industry, suppliers and media.
In late 2005, Amy relocated to Lincoln and took the business with her,
a transition that went very smoothly. Being amid a county full of food
producers has given Amy the opportunity to work on food PR, something
of a golden chance that also inspired the rebranding of the business
to feature star anise.
