Our media training offer falls into two very useful categories. But as your needs will be unique, we would add that your course would be bespoke. The following gives an overview of what we offer.

How to write a press release:
Aimed at junior marketing or PR staff, this is a useful proven session that will leave you or your staff able to write their own press releases, and fully understand what does and doesn’t make a good release. A hands on course, you’ll be writing releases and exploring hooks, photos and how to work in a way the press will prefer. A course book is included so there’s something to refer to afterwards, and individual questions are answered. Your tutor will be Amy Claridge, an experienced publicist who has been delivering successful media campaigns for nine years. Her down-to-earth and often humorous approach will mean that the shroud of mystique that often covers this ‘black art’ will be lifted.

Lasting approx. five hours and best for 2 – 6 people, we can carry out the training in your own premises. We can speak about your specific needs, but the charge is likely to be £250 plus VAT, and expenses.

Media skills for senior managers
Crisis management
Handling media interviews

“They’ll twist what I say.” “I can’t cope with microphones.” “I freeze whenever a camera is pointed at me.”

Does this sound like you? Whether you seek publicity or it is a part of your obligations as an organisation, it’s best to be fully prepared for facing the press rather than hoping that experience will eventually teach you. (And no doubt you hope you’ll learn the right things?)

Newspapers, radio and television offer a powerful and yet free way of promoting your product or service. Knowing how to handle media interviews effectively is also a valuable part of crisis management. Our practical, client focused courses will show you how to handle every type of media interview with confidence.
